Toyota Racing Development's first Australian creation, the TRD Aurion, is the result of our constant questioning of the status quo. A car that enhances performance in every way, yet maintains integrity in every aspect. A car that harnesses our motorsport heritage. A car that delivers more power than any other Toyota ever sold in Australia. In short, a car that excites. |

INTERIOR |
Styling The signature racetrack inspired 'R' featured in the front grille is also subtly integrated in the seat bolsters on both models. This complements the more overt TRD embossed seat backs, dash plaque, scuff plates, and for the 3500SL, a leather bound gear knob. The interior of the 3500S, with its red alcantara and leather accents, creates an extroverted ambience. Whilst the plum leather of the 3500SL gives a more prestigious sports feel. Both grades have alcantara seat inserts that help maintain your driving position even in the tightest of corners, creating the feeling that this car just wants to be driven.

EXTERIOR |
Uniquely Australian Design Think statement, not screaming. Purposeful, not poseur. Evocative, not extreme. The design aspect of the TRD Aurion is a dynamic exhibition of form and function created by a team of passionate performance engineers right here in Australia.

|
 |
TRD Bodykit The racetrack-inspired 'R' from the TRD logo blends subtly into the mesh of the front grille. The body kit, including a twin plane rear spoiler & side skirts answers the question of aerodynamic efficiency with stirring design. The front air dam, for example, isn't simply aesthetically similar to Toyota's F1 design but is functionally similar too, providing impressive downforce and roadholding.

|
 |
| |
Rear sports bumpers with 'Venturi Style' diffusers Even the exhaust tips, so often an afterthought in performance cars, were looked at critically – did they have to be simply 'bolted on'? To match up to our high aesthetic demands in the same way as the rest of the car does, they've been integrated into the rear bumper.

19" Alloy Wheels Four 19x8" alloy wheels and low profile tyres complete the picture giving the TRD Aurion a muscular yet refined look. *19x8" performance alloy wheels (silver) shown on 3500SL with TRD performance brake package |

SAFETY |
| Unique TRD Sports Suspension A unique sports suspension setup with springs that are lower and stiffer and a specially matched damper configuration puts more control into the body, thereby improving the overall handling performance and agility. Negative camber helps in that department too, giving the car less bodyroll in corners and more precise steering. All of which means agro never overtakes agility. |
|
|
Driver Assist Technologies (DAT) Dual stage SRS front airbags, which measure the intensity of the collision and deploy accordingly, are fitted for both front seat occupants. Seat-mounted side airbags help reduce the likelihood of injury to front seat occupants during side collisions. Side curtain shield airbags help reduce the chance of injury to the head of front and rear seat outer occupants in a side impact. For added restraint, 3-point Emergency Locking Retractor (ELR) seatbelts have pretensioners which retract the seatbelt at moment of impact, and force limiters which help reduce the risk of chest injury.

 |
TRD Wheel and Brake Package Wherever you travel you've the reassurance of Toyota Link# communication technology handily positioned in an overhead console. It lets you contact the Toyota Link call centre for roadside assistance or emergency support. If an airbag is deployed, Toyota Link can send for help when you can't. These are just some of the support services right at your fingertips.

Passive Safety Even reversing and parking are easier in the Presara. Select reverse and the exterior mirrors dip automatically allowing you to see the kerb. At the same time, a rear reversing camera displays a colour picture of what's immediately behind your rear bumper on the Satellite Navigation screen**. Leaving nothing to chance, sonar sensors in the front and rear bumpers sound alarms as you approach objects making it easier to manoeuvre into and out of tight parking spaces.

Dual VVT-i Technology The astounding powerplant of the TRD Aurion gives a perfect example of our race-developed learnings in action. It starts with Dual VVT-i technology that varies the timing to the intake and exhaust valves throughout the rev range. So whether you?re at idle, cruising or overtaking, the engine will optimse fuel consumption and maximise power output to meet your demands.

Eaton TVS Supercharger
The TRD Aurion is the world's first production car to be fitted with a four-lobe Eatonâ„¢ TVS supercharger. So it delivers strong, lag-free boost response throughout the rev range. Because the supercharger is an air pump driven by the engine's crankshaft it spins independently of throttle position, 'standing by' to deliver instantaneous boost on demand.(The boost offered by a turbo, by comparison, will by its very nature, exhibit lag and delayed throttle response). *Eatonâ„¢ Twin Vortices system [TVS] with four lobes 6 Speed Automatic Transmission A six-speed intelligent electronic automatic transmission also helps keep the engine in its most efficient operating range. While a sequential shifting mode lets you control gear changes when you require a sharper response. Finally, a tuned sports muffler offers a revealing and sporty note without being raucous. . .
